Welcome back to the Creative Encounter Podcast! In today's episode, we have CW Allen as our guest. CW is a hip-hop artist from Cleveland, Ohio. There he grew up listening to Hip Hop music and fell in love with its heart pounding drums and bass lines. His rap journey began in high school where he would frequent open mics and freestyle with friends. After receiving positive feedback from his performances CW began penning lyrics and taking his music to the next level. In 2009 CW left Cleveland and moved to Chicago to attend Moody Bible Institute where he studied communications and Bible. Now in years into of his creative journey CW has released first book entitled CATALYST, and traveled all over the country. His performances and speaking have been heard in bars, schools, camps, and conferences opening for such as Cannon, Da Truth, Sean C. Johnson, Shopé, This’l, and the Legendary Curtis Blow. CW and I discuss the journey he's had as a creative, a family man, and man of faith. He addresses how the pandemic was a hardship that nearly caused him to throw in the towel. But it was in his intimate times with God when he realized the journey wasn't even close to coming to a close. He Still Dreaming. Follow Dub and let his story bless you!
